Defending champion As de Sale (D1) landed 30-year old American shooting guard Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-100kg-88, college: Troy). He played in the summer at Ostioneros de Guaymas in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 12 games he averaged impressive 18.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg. He was also selected League Player of the Week. Abdul-Aleem ended the last season at Al Fateh (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL 2nd Team and All-Imports Team. But the most of that year he spent at Universidad de Concepcion (Liga Nacional) in league where in 20 games he had very remarkable stats: 21.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.9spg. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
Three years ago Abdul-Aleem was drafted by Austin Spurs (D-League) in sixth round (99th overall).
The former Troy University staris in his fourth season in pro basketball.
Abdul-Aleem is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Abdul-Aleem has played previously professionally in Greece (Kymis), Uruguay (Trouville), Venezuela (Trotamundos), Dominican Republic (San Carlos) and El Salvador (Santa Tecla).
