D1 Round 12: MAS Fes defeat FUS Rabat in the closest game of the week - Apr 7, 2018

The most exciting game of round 12 in the D1 took place in Fes. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best FUS Rabat (5-3) to first ranked MAS Fes (6-2) 60-57 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. MAS Fes have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-2 record. FUS Rabat at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked CRA Hoceima (5-3) against fifth ranked C.P.A.M (3-5) on Sunday night. Visiting CRA Hoceima was defeated by C.P.A.M in a tough game on the road 84-89. Newly promoted C.P.A.M maintains fifth position with 3-5 record. CRA Hoceima at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Essaouira. 4th ranked host Essaouira (2-5) lost to third ranked FAR Rabat (5-3) 70-60. FAR Rabat moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Essaouira dropped to the fifth position with five games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Marrakech. Second-best host KACM (4-2) lost to top-ranked ASS Sale (8-0) 71-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KACM. Undefeated ASS Sale have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. KACM at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost.
Bottom-ranked IRAN (0-8) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to fourth ranked IRT Tanger (5-3) 89-49 on Saturday evening. IRT Tanger moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser IRAN still closes the standings with eight games lost.

In the last game of round 12 winless KAC was destroyed by WAC on the opponent's court 100-52.



MAS Fes - FUS Rabat 60-57
