Cinnamon Lister (165-PG-92, college: CS Northridge) is now in her third year as a professional, currently the starting point guard for ASFAR Basketball Club in Morocco. The 25-year old Lister has already proven herself to be an elite scorer and playmaker in her two previous stops. As a rookie out of Cal-State Northridge, the 5-5 Lister began her career in Morocco with ACK Amal Belksiri in 2015-16. There she dominated, leading the league in scoring (25.4ppg) while also handing out 4.2 assists to go with 2.0 steals per game. She then went on to build upon her sensational rookie campaign by moving to Cyprus to play for Forex Time Apollon Limassol in 2016-17. All she accomplished there was to again lead the league in scoring, but this time averaging nearly 30 points per contest!
When asked about her decision to come back to Morocco she said 'I chose to come back to Morocco because of how welcoming and supportive everyone is here. The ASFAR committee has been building this team for a while and I wanted to be a part of all of the good things to come.'

But, lets step back to the beginning of Cinnamon's career and what brought her to today. Cinnamon and her identical twin sister Jasmine, were both highly sought after high school stars out of California before playing collegiately at the NCAA Division 1 level. Jasmine, starred at Vanderbilt where she started every game of her career as well as being named All-SEC 2nd Team her freshman, sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Jasmine then played briefly in the WNBA in 2015 with the Los Angeles Sparks before venturing off to begin her coaching career, where she is currently assistant coach for DePaul's women's basketball team.
Cinnamon stayed on the West Coast after high school, beginning her collegiate career at Boise State before transferring and really blossoming at Cal-State Northridge for her final two seasons. In those two seasons she helped lead the Matadors to the NCAA Tournament both times by capturing the Bog West Tournament title. She also holds the single season record for most three-point field goals made.

Now in her third professional season, and back in Morocco, Lister is comfortable in her surroundings and has made the transition from just playing overseas but to also be a leader among her teammates in a different culture and environment. On her expectations for this season; 'My expectations for this season are to help my team win the regular season Championship and win the Championship of the Cup.'
Based on an impressive performance in her team's opening round 58-44 victory over Marrakech, she is ell on her way of achieving her goals.
