Egypt recorded the second win at the 2019 World Cup African Qualifiers. They overcame Morocco for 2-1 record in Group C. Amr El Gendy (192-G-91) scored 14 points to pace the winners.
Morocco posted a 17:16 lead after the opening frame. Egypt turned things around in the second quarter. They held Morocco to just 11 points in the next period to take a 34:28 halftime lead. Egypt maintained the advantage throughout the third term and raced to a 10-point lead at the final break. Morocco cut the distance in the fourth quarter but could not recover and had to surrender at the end. Ibrahim El Gamal (189-SG-88) recorded 13 points in the victory. Adil El Makssoud (193-G/F-85, agency: Promotex) answered with 13 points for Morocco.

MCC2019: SG Bergishe Loewen (Germany) strengthened their roster with addition of American guard Majic Dorsey. Dorsey played last season at Fath US de Rabat (Morocco).
