The 'Comission of youth and Sport of the Indian Ocean' game is now taking place in Mauritius. It is a sport event that regroups the young athletes (under 18yrs old) of the Indian ocean, in other words, it is like the Indian Ocean Game for the young athletes. It regroups different sports such as, Basket - Ball, Football, Volley - Ball, Athletics, Judo, Tennis.

For the basket - ball tournament, there are 5 countries involves and they are seperated in 2 groups (It should be noted that there is only Women Basket - Ball). The groups are as follows:

Group A                      Group B
Mauritius                      Reunion
Madagascar                Mayotte
Seychelles

The preliminaries have already been played and below are the results:

Group A

Mauritius 33                   v/s                 Madagascar 73

Mauritius 62                v/s                 Seychelles 48

Madagascar 99           v/s                 Seychelles 27

Group B

Reunion 117              v/s            Mayotte 26

Reunion 105              v/s            Mayotte 35

From these preliminaries results, Madagascar and Reunion are the hot favourites for the tournament. But you should never underestimate the Mauritius Team, especially that they are playing infront of their public.

Today, the semi - finals will be as follows:

15hr00 Madagascar v/s Mayotte

17hr00 Mauritius v/s Reunion

The winners will play against each other in the final on Friday and the losers will play the 3rd Place match on Friday itself before the final.

So keep connected to africa basket to be aware of who will be in the final.

For my part, I will say "Allez Maurice" :)

By the way, The league has made a Pause as a reason of the CJSOI game, but it will resume next week with some hot matches. It should be noted that we had a shocking result in the league last week where USBBRH, a team that reached the playoff last year, have be beaten by the EDB. This means that the playof will be hard for the USBBRH to get to.
