The Republic Cup continued last night and 2 matches were scheduled at the Phoenix Gymnasium. The first match was between the USBBRH and the youngs of the CNFBB. As expected, the USBBRH won the match with great ease in front of the inexperience but talented CNFBB. The final score was 114 to 32 in favour of the USBBRH who are qualified for the next phase of the tournament.

As for the second match, it was a bit more interesting as the 2 teams were nearly of the same level, and involves the EDB v/s ASVP. The last time that these 2 teams met, the ASVP won the match but this time the EDB took their revenge and with their usual fighting spirit, won the match on the score of 56 to 32. The EDB are now qualified for the next phase of the competition and as for the ASVP, they will have to work harder to make a good impression in the league as they did last year winning the most improved team award in the league.

A special note to the player Kenny Nagloo who played his first official match for the ASVP after a long period of absence.

The next matches for the Republic Cup will now involve the Women Team this Saturday at 'Le 1er Fevrier Gymnasium'. On Saturday 11 March, @ 16 00 the CJSOI Team will play against the Mer Rouge Team and at 18 00, the Champions Hoop will play against the youngs of the CNFBB.

So basket - ball fans keep connected to us and be aware of the latest update in Mauritius Basket - Ball!!!

Till then, see ya all.
