South Africa -Mauritius 70:29

South Africa and Mauritius battled for the first victory at the FIBA Africa Championship for Women in Day 2. South Africa looked much better in the court to smash the opponents 70:29 for 1-1 record. The winners started with 20-6 and then added 14-10 for 34:16 halftime advantage. South Africa exploded with 17-4 in the third quarter and had 19-9 to finish the game. Elizabeth Modiselle paced all the winners with 18 points, while Ellen Moutlwatse (86) added 14 points, 6 rebounds. Lungile Mtsweni contributed 10 points to complete the beating of the Mauritius side. South Africa will face Madagascar in Day 3 and Mauritius will take on Mozambique.
