Mali U16 secured a 67-54 win over Morocco U16 at AfroBasket 2025 with a strong and consistent performance. Mali took control early, leading 16-10 after the first quarter and doubling that advantage with another 16-10 run in the second to head into halftime up 32-20. Morocco fought back in the third with an improved 23-point display, but Mali’s balanced offense kept them ahead 50-43 going into the final frame. In the fourth, Mali tightened defensively and closed out the game 17-11 to seal a 13-point victory.
Bakary Ballo (2010) top-scored for the winners with 19 points, Mohamed Keita netted 16, whilst N'Dji Coulibaly (2010) had 14. Mehdi Berrada (2009) and Sofiane Rezouk (2009) answered with 15 points each in defeat.
