Cantu lands Oumar Ballo

Acqua S.Bernardo Cantu (Serie A2) signed 23-year-old Mali e213cm center Oumar Ballo (college: Indiana) for the upcoming season. He last played for Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League. In his most recent game, he scored 9 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and blocked 1 shot.
He just graduated from Indiana University (12.7ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.1apg, 0.7spg) and it will be his first season in pro basketball.
Ballo was a member of the Mali international program for some years. He played for Mali Senior National Team in 2022 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018. Ballo was also voted to All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2025.
His team made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals in 2024. He played for other colleges like the University of Arizona and Gonzaga University.
