La Rochelle welcomes back Haidara

Ibrahima Haidara

Stade Rochelais Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) has signed 32-year-old Mali international 205cm power forward Ibrahima Haidara for the new season. He is the second import player on the roster, with USA's Robert Ford III already signed. Haidara is making a comeback to La Rochelle, where he has played before. He is no stranger to the French League, having most recently played at Hermine Nantes Atlantique in the ProB, averaging 8.4ppg, 4.8rpg, and 1.3bpg in 31 games last season. In the 2023-24 season, he played for another French team, La Rochelle, also in ProB.
He also represented Mali at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 7.3 ppg and had 5 rpg.
He has played previously in Mali (Police).
