Diallo comes back to Manati

Cheick Diallo

Osos de Manati (BSN) added to their roster 28-year old Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206cm-104kg-1996, college: Kansas). He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA Norris Cole signed here earlier.
It is actually his comeback to Osos as he has played here before. He just played at FiberXers in Filipino PBA league. In 12 games he recorded very impressive stats: 23.8ppg, 14.8rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2bpg last season. The last season summer he played at Osos.
In 2016 he was drafted by Los Angeles Clippers (NBA) in second round (33rd overall). The former University of Kansas standout is in his ninth season in pro basketball.
Diallo represented Mali at the African Championship U16 in Egypt fourteen years ago. Diallo's team won Bronze.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in seven different countries. Diallo has played previously professionally in Japan (Kyoto Hannaryz), Russia (Avtodor), Spain (Fuenlabrada), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Austin Spurs, Long Island Nets, Greensboro Swarm and Motor City Cruise) and Puerto Rico (Cangrejeros).
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Honorable Mention in 2023.
