FiberXers sign Cheick Diallo- October 30, 2024
He played this summer at Osos de Manati in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 31 games he just recently played he averaged impressive 15.7ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.2apg. He helped them to make it to the Puerto Rican BSN final. The last seasonhe played for different teams. He ended the season at the Heat in NBA. He also played for Skyforce in NBA G League. The other team he played shortly was Kyoto Hannaryz (B1 League) in Japanese league. In 2016 he was drafted by Los Angeles Clippers (NBA) in second round (33rd overall). The former University of Kansas standout is in his tenth season in pro basketball. He represented Mali at the African Championship U16 in Egypt thirteen years ago. Diallo's team won Bronze. Diallo is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Diallo has played previously professionally in Japan, Russia (Avtodor), Spain (Fuenlabrada), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons and Phoenix Suns) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Long Island Nets, Greensboro Swarm and Motor City Cruise).
