Stade Malien overcame Kriol Star 81-76 in their opener of the Road to BAL 2025 campaign. The team from Cape Verde will face Ahly Tripoli in their second game of the event.
Both teams nailed 20 points each in the opening period, whilst Kriol Star surprised the opponents with a 23-16 run in the second frame. Stade Malien meanwhile posted 24-17 and 21-16 rallies in the second half ti seal the win.
N'Faly Kanoute (187-F-1996) and Mahamane Coulibaly (2001) stepped up with 16 points each, whilst Abdramane Kanoute (196-G-2004) added 13. Ali Lahrichi (190-G-1993) and Dieudonne Ndayisaba (201-SG-1996) replied with 14 points each in a loss.
