Aix-Maurienne sign Siriman Kanoute

Siriman Kanoute

Aix-Maurienne Savoie Basket (ProB) landed 21-year old Mali international 181cm point guard Siriman Kanoute for new season. Kanoute is the second foreign player in the roster as USA KJ Jackson signed here earlier.
He is not a newcomer in French League as he played most recently at Besancon Avenir Comtois Basket in the NM1. In 35 games he averaged 14.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 4.9apg and 2.4spg last season. Good year as he was voted League Player of the Week.
Part of previous (2021-22) season he spent at AS Kaysersberg Ammerschwihr BCA (also in NM1) where in 10 games he had 7.0ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.6apg and 2.1spg in that year. He helped them to win the regular season. He also played for Sluc Nancy that season. In four ProB games he recorded just 2.5ppg and 1.5rpg in that year.
Kanoute has been also a member of Mali international program for some years. He has regularly played for Mali senior team since 2020 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2018.
Kanoute represented Mali at the World Cup U19 in Crete (Greece) four years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 7 games: 15.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 5.1apg, 2.4spg, FGP: 48.3%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 44.8%.
He has played previously for French team Sluc Nancy Basket 2nd team.
Among many awards he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-World Cup U17 Honorable Mention back in 2018.
