Former U17 international center N'Faly Dante (211-2001, is currently at the American university) was not able to secure a victory for the one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Oregon (11-9) in their game against the University of Colorado (12-8) in the NCAA. Dante recorded only 4 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 20 minutes. The Oregon lost 69-80 at home to the University of Colorado. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. But that was another game of his team in NCAA which we would like to mention. Drame contributed to St.Peter's' victory against the Quinnipiac University (7-13) 64-52. He scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Saint Peter's University has a solid 14-6 conference record this season. Drame has averaged so far 7.1ppg and 6.6rpg. He used to play for the Mali U19 national team back in 19.

Former U19 international center Moulaye Sissoko (206-1999, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the The University of Toledo (17-3) 74-55 in the NCAA National Tournament Round 1 last Wednesday. Sissoko scored 8 points in only 10 minutes. The University of Dayton has a very good 14-4 conference record this season. The National Tournament Round 1 already ended in the NCAA. Sissoko has averaged so far 2.2ppg and 2.1rpg in 29 games. He used to play for the Mali U19 national team years ago.

An experienced swingman Mamadou Sy (194-1985, college: Cloud County, currently plays in France) couldn't help Pontoise (3-3) in their game against SOPCC (4-6) in the French NM1 (third division). Sy scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. The third-placed Pontoise (3-3) was edged 69-66 in Pont de Cheruy by the lower-ranked SOPCC (#7) in the Group B. Sy has averaged so far 3.5ppg and 4.7rpg. He is a former international player as years ago he still played for the Mali senior national team.

Former international power forward Abdoul Coulibaly (206-2000, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the one of league's weakest teams St.Bonaventure in their game against the Saint Louis University in the NCAA. Coulibaly scored only 4 points in 8 minutes on the court. His team was edged 57-56. Coulibaly has averaged so far 3.7ppg and 1.6rpg in 30 games. He used to play for the Mali national team years ago.

   #12. Former international forward Ibrahim Djambo (209-1992, college: Hofstra, currently plays in France) couldn't help Lorient (5-5) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Djambo's very good performance Lorient (#5) was defeated 89-79 on their home court in Lorient by the leading STB Le Havre in the Group A. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Djambo also added 7 rebounds. Djambo has relatively good stats this season: 12.8ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Mali and American. Djambo used to play for the Mali national team back in 21.

   #13. Former international center Cheick Soumaoro (205-1990, currently plays in France) faced previously mentioned Mamadou Sy in the French NM1 last game. Soumaoro contributed to a 3-point SOPCC's victory against the third-ranked Pontoise 69-66. He scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Soumaoro has averaged so far 6.4ppg and 4.7rpg. He used to play for the Mali national team years ago.

   #14. Former international center Moustapha Diarra (205-1987, college: USF, currently plays in France) couldn't help Andrezieux (6-4) in their last game. Despite Diarra's good performance Andrezieux (#6) lost 72-76 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#5) Lourdes-Tarbes in the Group B. He was the second best scorer with 12 points in 27 minutes. This year Diarra has relatively solid stats: 10.2ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.5apg in 28 games. He used to play for the Mali national team back in 18.

   #15. Former international point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-1987, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Ibrahim Djambo. However that was another game of his team in French NM1 which brought him to that list. Saounera led Lorient to a victory against the second-ranked C'Chartres 86-73. He scored 11 points. Saounera has averaged so far 8.1ppg, 2.2rpg and 3.3apg. He used to play for the Mali national team years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Mali passport but never been selected to any of Mali national teams:

   #1. Bandja Sy (204-F-1990, agency: BeoBasket, college: NM State, currently plays in EuroCup). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Metropolitans (9-6) to beat Partizan NiS (10-5). Sy scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. Metropolitans lost 72-87 on the road to the second-ranked Partizan NiS. It was Metropolitans' first loss after five consecutive victories. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Sy averages: 4.2ppg and 3.5rpg in 10 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Mali and French.

   #2. Amadou Sow (206-F-1998, currently plays college basketball in the States) led UCSB to a victory against the University of California - Irvine (9-5) 78-69 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Sow had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 34 minutes. The University of California Santa Barbara has a solid 8-5 conference record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Sow has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg and 8.4rpg in 28 games.

   #3. Mamadou Doucoure (206-F, currently studies in the States) was not able to help the La Salle in their game against the Saint Louis University (12-6) in the NCAA. He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Doucoure recorded only 3 points in 11 minutes. The La Salle was badly defeated 71-51 at home by the Saint Louis University. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Doucoure has averaged so far 1.9ppg and 2.7rpg in 29 games.

   #4. Tahirou Diabate (206-F-1998, is currently at the American university) was not able to secure a victory for the SDSU (13-4) in their game against the Creighton University (12-7) in the NCAA National Tournament Round 1. He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Diabate scored only 2 points. The SDSU was edged 72-69 in Omaha by the Creighton University. The National Tournament Round 1 already ended in the NCAA. Diabate has averaged so far 2.1ppg and 2.3rpg.

   #5. Mady Sissoko (206-C-2000, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the Michigan St. (11-9) in their game against the Purdue University (14-6) in the NCAA. He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Sissoko scored only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court. The Michigan St. lost 70-75 on their home court in East Lansing to the Purdue University. His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This year Sissoko averages just 1.1ppg in 30 games.

   #6. Cheickna Sissoko (206-F/C, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Academy of Art in their game against the California State University Chico in the NCAA2. Sissoko scored 6 points in only 9 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 17 points 78-61 in the NCAA2. Sissoko has averaged so far 4.5ppg and 3.9rpg in 28 games.
