   #1. This week's number one is former U16 international power forward Cheick Diallo (206-96, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the New Orleans Pelicans (32-47) in their last game. Despite Diallo's good performance the New Orleans Pelicans (32-47) were crushed 130-102 on the road by the Los Angeles Lakers. He had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 21 minutes on the court. There are only three games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Diallo averages: 5.8ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 61.9%(153-247) and FT: 74.6% in 61 games he played so far. He played for the Mali U16 national team eight years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international guard Ludovic Chelle (188-83, currently plays in France). He led Saint Vallier to a victory over the sixth-ranked JSA Bordeaux (4-6) 86-67 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Chelle was MVP of the game. He scored 16 points in a mere 19 minutes. Saint Vallier Basket Drome (5-6) is placed fifth in Places 1-10 group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Chelle's overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 43.8%, 3FGP: 39.7% and FT: 68.4% in 25 games. He has a dual citizenship: Mali and French. Despite Chelle played previously for the French U20 national team, he played also for the Mali national team in 2011.

   #3. The Mali player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Cheick Soumaoro (204-90, currently plays in France). Soumaoro was not able to help Saint-Quentin in their game against STB Le Havre (11-9) in the French NM1 (third division). His contribution was not very remarkable in Saturday's game. Soumaoro scored only 3 points and added 3 assists. The third-placed Saint-Quentin (8-3) was edged 75-73 in Le Havre by the lower-ranked STB Le Havre (#5) in the Places 1-10 group. Soumaoro's total stats this season are: 6.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 2FGP: 58.3%(63-108), 3FGP: 21.4% and FT: 81.7%. He is also a member of the Mali senior national team.

Point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-87, currently plays in France) was the main contributor in Lorient's victory against the second-ranked GET Vosges (5-3) crushing them 93-65 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. He was the best player in that game. Saounera scored 27 points (!!!), had 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 21-28. CEP Lorient (5-1) is placed first. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Saounera has relatively good stats this season: 13.2ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.0apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Mali and French. Saounera is also Mali national team player.

   #5. International center Boubacar Sidibe (205-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for HLA Alicante (23-5) in their game against Marin (15-13) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). He recorded only 4 points and blocked 3 shots in 10 minutes. HLA Alicante lost 56-64 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#4) Marin in the East group. They ended the series of thirteen consecutive victories. This year Sidibe's total stats are: 2.8ppg and 2.5rpg in 17 games. He plays currently for the Mali national team.

   #6. Shooting guard Mahamadou Drame (188-86, currently plays in France) couldn't help Feurs EF (4-7) in their game against Union Tours (7-4) in the French NM1 (third division). He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Feurs EF (#8) was defeated 79-75 in Tours by the higher-ranked Union (#4) in the Places 11-20 group. It was Feurs EF's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Samake managed to help CEP Lorient to win against the second-ranked GET Vosges (5-3) crushing them 93-65. He scored only 4 points. Samake has averaged so far 4.4ppg and 4.8rpg. He used to play for the Mali national team back in 2017.

Boundy couldn't help GET Vosges (5-3) in their game against Lorient (5-1). He scored only 4 points in 24 minutes. GET Vosges (#2) was crushed 93-65 at home by the leading Lorient in the Places 21-28 group. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. Boundy has averaged so far 8.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.4apg and 1.2spg in 28 games. He used to play for the Mali national team four years ago.

   #10. Swingman Samba Balayera (195-96, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Namory Boundy and both played together in the last French NM1 game. Balayera couldn't help GET Vosges (5-3) in their game against Lorient (5-1). He scored 5 points. GET Vosges (#2) was crushed 93-65 on their home court in Golbey by the leading Lorient in the Places 21-28 group. This season Balayera averages only 7.7ppg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Mali National Team roster.

   #1. Bandja Sy (204-F-90, agency: BeoBasket, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in ABA League) managed to help BC Partizan NiS Beograd to win against the league leader Crvena Zvezda (21-1) 70-67 in a derby game in the ABA League last Saturday. Sy scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Partizan NiS Beograd (14-8) is placed fourth in the ABA League. It's Sy's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 6.7ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.3apg. Sy has a dual citizenship: Mali and French.

   #2. Nouhoum Bocoum (208-F/C-92, college: Arkansas St., currently plays in Spain) could not help Aridane (8-18) in their last game. Despite Bocoum's very good performance Aridane (#13) was crushed 96-75 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#6) Quintanar in the Group B. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 15 rebounds. Bocoum also added 3 assists in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was Aridane's fourth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Bocoum has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.3ppg, 9.9rpg and 1.5apg in 26 games he played so far. Bocoum is another player who holds two passports: Mali and American.

   #3. Souleymane Diakite (206-F-99, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to help the NJIT in their game against the Hampton University (12-6) in the NCAA 1/8 Finals. Diakite scored only 4 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. The NJIT was defeated 82-70 in Hampton by the University. Diakite has averaged so far 1.8ppg and 2.9rpg.

   #4. Bakary Konate (211-C-93, college: Minnesota, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a 1-point Caceres Basket's victory against one of league's weakest teams Araberri (7-22) 68-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Sunday night. He scored only 2 points in 4 minutes on the court. Caceres Patrimonio de la Humanidad (8-22) is placed 16th in the LEB Gold. Konate has averaged so far 1.5ppg and 2.0rpg in eight games.
