We bring you last week's top performances from Malians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Namory Boundy

#1. This week's number one is former international forward Namory Boundy (202-89, currently plays in France). He was the major contributor in a SO Maritime Boulogne's victory against the fourth-ranked Rueil (22-9) crushing them 98-69 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game. Boundy recorded 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 30 minutes on the court. SO Maritime Boulogne (15-16) is placed eighth in the NM1. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Boundy averages: 5.2ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 35.7% and FT: 66.7% in 31 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Mali and French. Boundy played for the Mali senior national team three years ago.

#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Nianta Diarra (205-93, agency: Two Points, currently plays in France). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Olympique Antibes (11-18) to beat Cholet Basket (11-18). Diarra scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. But Olympique Antibes was edged 76-74 on the road by the higher-ranked Cholet Basket (#15). It was Olympique Antibes' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Diarra's overall stats this season are: 5.5ppg, 4.9rpg, 2FGP: 71.1% (54-76), 3FGP: 27.7% and FT: 38.7%. He is another player who holds two passports: Mali and French. Diarra is in the roster of the Mali senior national team.

#3. The Mali player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Cheick Soumaoro (204-90, currently plays in France). He contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked UB Chartres (20-11) crushing them 86-56 in the French NM1 (third division) on Sunday night. Soumaoro recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball (23-8) is placed third in the NM1. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Soumaoro's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 2FGP: 67.2% (39-58), 3FGP: 37.5% and FT: 85.7% in 16 games. He is also a member of the Mali senior national team.

Power forward Cheick Diallo (206-96, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) managed to help New Orleans Pelicans to win against the Portland Trail Blazers (49-33) 97-95 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Diallo recorded only 2 points. The New Orleans Pelicans have 47-34 record this season. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Diallo's total stats this season are: 4.7ppg and 3.8rpg. He used to play for the Mali U16 national team back in 2011.

He was the best player in that game. Cisse recorded 20 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Brissac Anjou Basket (16-15) is placed seventh in the NM1. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Cisse has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.9apg. Despite Cisse played previously for the French U20 national team, he is also an international player who is currently on the senior Mali National Team roster.

An experienced international forward Mamadou Sy (196-85, college: Cloud County CC, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sourata Cisse and both played together in the last French NM1 game. Sy contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Aubenas (12-19) crushing them 83-62. He recorded 5 points in 12 minutes. This year Sy's total stats are: 4.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.9apg in 28 games. He is also Mali national team player.

Nouhoum Bocoum (208-F/C-94, college: Arkansas St., currently plays in Spain) managed to help Lujisa Guadalajara Basket in a victory against the 14th-ranked Lanzarote (8-19) 77-65 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) in Saturday night's game. Bocoum scored only 4 points in 21 minutes. Lujisa Guadalajara Basket (18-9) is placed fifth in Group B. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. It's Bocoum's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 13.9ppg and 5.9rpg in 26 games he played so far. Bocoum has a dual citizenship: Mali and American.

#2. Ibrahima Sidibe (180-PG-95, currently plays in France) led Caen to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Denain Voltaire (14-14) crushing them 102-69 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. He recorded 12 points (made all of his six free throws). Caen Basket Calvados (10-18) is placed 13th in the ProB. It's Sidibe's first season with the team. Sidibe's total stats this year are: 4.6ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.8apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Mali and French. Despite Sidibe's Mali nationality, he previously played for the French U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Mali team.

This week's number one is former U16 international power forward Cheick Diallo (206-96). He could not help the New Orleans Pelicans (30-40) in their last game.
