Egypt outscored Madagascar 90-70 in Monastir in a friendly game before the African Qualifiers. Egypt grabbed a 26-14 lead early in the game and increased to 14 points at the halftime. Egypt managed to win also the third and the last stanzas for the final success. Medaissi Haithem (82) top-scored for the winners with 20 points, while Youssef Aboushousha (192-G/F-93) netted 13. Kiady replied with 21 points in the losing effort.
