Madagascar-Senegal 39-90

Senegal remains the only undefeated team at the 21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women. In Day 4 the team overcame the hosts 90:39 for 4-0 record. Senegal opened the game with 15-7 in the opening quarter and never looked behind after. The favorites added 26-9 in the second frame for 41:16 at the halftime. The picture remained the same when the teams came back from the lockers as Senegal controlled the entire game. With 28-12 they finished the third stanza and closed the game with 21-11 in the last quarter.


The level of the teams was too different and Senegal proved it one more time in the game. The team will be a winner of the group and look forward for the play-offs of the tournament. With the current roster, Senegal hopes for the top positions.
Ndeye Sene top-scored for the winners with 18 points to keep the perfect record with her team. Aya Traore (186-F-83, college: Purdue) and Aminata Diop (196-C-82, college: Georgetown) ended up with 13 points each in a win. Madagascars Nahirae Solinasoa 23 points the highest by any player on court could not save her side from defeat.
In Day 5 Senegal will face Mauritius and will definitely win that game. Madagascar will take on Mozambique.
