Al Ahly Benghazi (D1) agreed terms with experienced 59-year-old Greek coach Fotis Katsikaris (agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He coached last season at Basquet Girona in the Spanish league.

He has coached also in Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Russia, Spain (Unicaja, Tenerife and Gran Canaria) and the NBA (Utah Jazz).

His team reached the Spanish Cup Final Four in 2018.
