Defending champion Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) signed 30-year-old American 207cm power forward Paris Bass (college: Detroit). It is his return to Tripoli as he previously played there. Bass recently played for Sagesse in the Lebanese DLBL, putting up impressive stats in 15 games: 27.3ppg, 10.0rpg, 4.3apg, 2.1spg, and 1.2bpg last season. He was named League Player of the Week three times. Bass also played 5 games in the West Asia Super League, averaging 24.8ppg, 10.4rpg, 4.0apg, 2.4spg, and 1.8bpg. Last summer, he played for Leones (BSN) in the Puerto Rican league.
He is a very experienced player. Bass has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in eleven different countries on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa, and North America). He has played professionally in Austria, China (Golden Bulls), Lebanon, Puerto Rico (Atleticos and Capitanes), Taiwan (Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor), NBA (Phoenix Suns), NBA G League (SLC Stars, South Bay Lakers, and Wisconsin Herd), South Korea (Sonicboom), Dominican Republic (CDP Domingo Paulino Santiago, Indios, and Rafael Barias), Colombia (Cimarrones and Storm), and NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks and LA Lakers).
Among many awards, he played in the final of the Arab Club Championship in 2025. He was selected to the Asia-Basket.com Arab Club Championship All-Imports Team in 2025.
Bass graduated from University of Detroit Mercy in 2016 and is currently in his tenth season playing professional basketball.
