Olumiye Oni

Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) signed 28-year old Nigerian ex-international guard Olumiye Oni (198cm-95kg-1997, college: Yale, agency: Slash Sports). He played this summer at Criollos de Caguas in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 19 games just recently he had 12.8ppg, 7.0rpg and 7.2apg. The last season he played at Joventut (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league. He also played 10 games in Spanish Liga Endesa where he recorded only 1.4ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2019, he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors (NBA) in the second round (58th overall). Oni graduated from Yale University, and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Oni has played professionally in Spain, the United Kingdom (Lions), the NBA (New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz), the NBA G League (Salt Lake City Stars and Osceola Magic), and the NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks).
He has won many awards, including the NBA G League Eastern Conference championship title in 2024. He was voted the All-Ivy League Player of the Year and Ivy League All-Tournament Team during his college years in 2019.
