2025 AfroBasket: South Sudan leave no chance for Libya

South Sudan knocked down Libya to improve at 1-1 record at the 2025 AfroBasket. Jo Lual-Acuil (213-C-1994, college: Baylor) and Nuni Omot (204-SF-1994, college: Baylor) scored 16 points each to pace South Sudan to the opening victory.
South Sudan fired on all cylinders in the first half. They erupted for 62 points in the first half to gain a 39-point halftime lead. South Sudan exploded with 53 points in the second half to race to the win. Mareng Gatkuoth (196-G-1999, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in 13 points for the winners. Naseim Badrush (190-G-1998) answered with 17 points for Libya.
