Al Ittihad Tri adds Lofton to their roster, ex Sagesse

Al Ittihad Tripoli (D1) added to their roster 32-year old American guard Zach Lofton (193cm-82kg-1992, college: NM State, agency: Slash Sports). He played this summer at Sagesse in Lebanese LBL league. In 20 games just recently he was the league's fourth-best scorer with an impressive 26.4ppg and had 5.7rpg and 7.0apg (top 5). A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Import Player of the Year, Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Defensive Player of the Year, and Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year. He also played 12 games in West Asia Super League where just recently he recorded very remarkable stats: 19.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.9apg, and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite an impressive season as he was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-West Asia Super League Final 8 Second Team.
Lofton is a highly experienced player. Thanks to Lofton's pro career, he has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America) in ten different countries. He has played professionally in Bahrain (Al-Muharraq), China (Liaoning Yi Sheng), Germany (Seawolves), Kuwait (Kazma), Lebanon (Al Riyadi, Homentmen, and Dynamo), Philippines (Bolts), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), NBA G League (Grand Rapids Gold), NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks), and The Basketball Tournament (Panamaniacs). Lofton won the Bahrain League championship title in 2025 and made it to the cup final in the same year.
He was also voted All-SWAC Player of the Year during his college time back in 2017.
Lofton graduated from New Mexico State University in 2018 and it will be his ninth season as a pro player. He played for other colleges such as Texas Southern University, University of Minnesota, Illinois State University, and San Jacinto College.
