Al Nasr Benghazi (D1) signed 33-year-old American guard Antwan Scott (185cm-81kg-1992, college: Colorado State, agency: Olsta). He played last season at Al-Difaa in Iraqi Superleague. In 6 games, he had very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 2.0rpg, and 3.5apg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Scott is a highly experienced player, having played in twelve different countries on four continents - Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. He has played professionally in Cyprus (Keravnos), Finland (KTP-Basket), France (ALM Evreux), Greece (Aris Midea), Holland, Latvia (VEF Riga), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal and Al Ittihad), Syria (Al Ittihad), Egypt (Zamalek), Angola (Atletico Petroleos de Luanda), and Libya (Al Ittihad Tri). He won the Iraqi League championship title in 2025.
Among many awards, he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Player of the Year and Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Import Player of the Year during 2022.
Scott graduated from Colorado State in 2016 and it will be his tenth season as a pro player. He played for other colleges such as Grambling State University and the University of Idaho.
