Deshawndre Washington (ex Shabab Al Ahli) agreed terms with Ahly Benghazi

Deshawndre Washington

Defending champion Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of American 201cm guard Deshawndre Washington (college: NM State, agency: The Crew A.M.). Washington played most recently at Shabab Al Ahli in UAE ULB league. In 12 West Asia Super League games he was league's third best scorer with impressive 22.5ppg and had 8.1rpg and 5.8apg last season. He helped them to win the group title.
Washington has played previously professionally in Mexico (Halcones Rojos) and ABA (Chicago Fury).
Among many awards he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Import Player of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from New Mexico State University in 2023 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. Washington played for other colleges like: Northwest Florida State College, South Suburban College, Robert Morris University.
