Al Ittihad Tripoli (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old Bulgarian-American ex-international 189cm point guard Dee Bost (college: MSU). Bost played most recently at Tabiat in Iranian Superleague. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). Bost also played for Al Rayyan in Qatari QBL where in 20 games he recorded 13.3ppg, 6.3rpg, 7.8apg (top 2) and 1.8spg (in top 5). He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Great year indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar QBL Third Team. The other team he played shortly was Hiopos Forca Lleida in Spanish Liga Endesa. In four games he averaged 7.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.8apg.
Bost also represented Bulgaria at the Qualifications to European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) 2017 nine years ago. But his stats at that event were not that impressive as he did not score anything.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Bost has played previously professionally in France (Metropolitans, ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket, Monaco and SIG Strasbourg), Lithuania (Zalgiris), Montenegro (Buducnost), Poland (Zastal), Puerto Rico (Indios), Russia (Khimki), Turkey (Trabzonspor and Galatasaray), Venezuela (Trotamundos), NBA (Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers), NBA G League (SLC Stars) and The Basketball Tournament (Boeheim's Army, Team Challenge ALS and Friday Beers). He won French League championship title in 2017 and 2020 and the cup in 2017 and 2023. Bost was selected to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Bosman Player of the Year back in 2019 and 2020.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Ittihad Tri.
He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2012 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
