Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) inked 29-year old American ex-international 188cm point guard Jaylen Adams (college: St.Bonaventure). Adams moved there from Sydney Kings in Australian NBL league. In 27 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.2apg (top 4) and 1.6spg (in top 4) last season. Great year indeed as he was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (3 times). The last season he played at Flying Leopards in Chinese CBA where in 5 games he averaged 5.2ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.0apg. He was a member of USA Senior National Team back in 2020.
Adams is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Adams has played previously professionally in Greece (Promitheas), Serbia (Crvena zvezda), NBA (Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks), China (Eagles), NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls) and NBA G League (Wisconsin Herd). He won Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship title in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Among many awards he received Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Player of the Year award and Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Import Player of the Year award back in 2022.
He graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 2018 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
