Al Madina Tripoli (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American forward Nick Stover (198cm-90kg-1993, college: USA). Stover just played at Al Fateh in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 9 games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.0ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg last season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Second Team.
The most of last summer he spent at Tangerang in Indonesian IBL where in 13 games he averaged remarkable 17.2ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.5apg. He also spent pre-season at Ahly Benghazi that year.
Stover is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America) in four different countries. He has played previously professionally in Jordan (Orthodox), Qatar (Al Gharafa, Al Arabi and Al Wakrah) and Libya (Al Ahly Tripoli). Stover won Qatari League championship title in 2018 and 2024. He was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention in 2022 and 2023.
Stover is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
He graduated from University of South Alabama in 2017 and it is his eighth season as a professional player. Stover played for other colleges like: Loyola Marymount University, Buzz Elite.
