Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) agreed terms with 32-year old Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203cm-98kg-1992, college: Baylor). Deng played this summer at Ipswich Force in Australian NBL One. In 7 games just recently he had very impressive stats: 21.1ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.6apg, 2.0spg and 1.0bpg. The last season he played at Ohod in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 18 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 17.7ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.1apg, 1.1spg and 1.1bpg. He helped them to make it to the Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Fahed Cup Semifinals. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week and named to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Third Team.
Deng represented Australia at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 4.6ppg, 2.1rpg.
He is quite experienced player. Deng's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Deng tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Finland (Korihait), Lebanon (Tadamon and Louaize), Poland (MKS), Qatar (Al Shamal) and NBA G League (Texas Legends). His team made it to the Australian NBL Semifinals in 2019 and 2021.
Deng graduated from Baylor University in 2015 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player. He played also for Lee College for 2 years.
