Melvin Frazier Jr. joins Ahly Benghazi

Defending champion Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) added to their roster 27-year old American swingman Melvin Frazier Jr. (196cm-91kg-1996, college: Tulane) for new 2024-25 season. Frazier played last season at Delaware Blue Coats (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 47 NBA-G-League games he had 10.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg.
The most of previous (2022-23) season he spent at Knicks in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 26 games he recorded 12.5ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg in that year. He also played for Raptors 905 in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 13 games he averaged 6.4ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5spg in that year.
In 2018 he was drafted by Orlando Magic (NBA) in second round (35th overall). The former Tulane University star is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
Frazier is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in NBA (OKC Thunder), NBA G League (OKC Blue, Iowa Wolves and Osceola Magic) and NBA Summer League (Minnesota Timberwolves). Frazier won NBA G League Southeast Division championship title in 2019 and 2020.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted NOLA.com / Times-Picayune Preseason Player of the Year back in 2015.
