Al Nasr Benghazi (D1) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old Kosovan-American ex-international shooting guard Scott Bamforth (188cm-86kg-1989, college: Weber State) for new 2024-25 season. Bamforth played last season at Coviran Granada in Spanish Liga Endesa.
He also represented Kosovo at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) 2021 Pre-Qualifiers five years ago.
Bamforth is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in France (Le Mans), Italy (Pesaro and Sassari), Montenegro (Buducnost), Spain (Murcia, Breogan Lugo, Real Betis and Surne Bilbao) and The Basketball Tournament (Albuquerque H. and The Enchantment). Bamforth played in the final of Big Sky Conference Tournament in 2012 and 2013. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Honorable Mention back in 2018 and 2019.
Bamforth graduated from Weber State in 2013 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Western Nebraska Community College for one year.
