Al Nasr Benghazi (D1) signed 26-year-old American (who also has a Syrian passport) guard Javion Blake (191cm-84kg-1997, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports). He is the second foreign player in the roster, with Armenian Ryan Boatright having signed earlier. Blake moved to Al Nasr Benghazi from Champville in the Lebanese LBL league, where he had impressive stats this season: 25.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 7.4apg, and 1.7spg in 20 games. He was named League Player of the Week four times and was also called up to the Syrian Senior National Team this year.
He is a very experienced player, having played in eight different countries on five continents - Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and North America. He has played professionally in Argentina (Atenas), Australia, Denmark (Herlev), Mexico (Astros), New Zealand (Jets), Romania (Sibiu), and Czech Republic (Brno).
He won the Mexican CIBACOPA championship title in 2022 and was voted to Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand NBL Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from Washburn University in 2019 and it's his fifth season as a pro player.
