Touhami Ghazoul (ex Al Safa) signs at Al Morog

Touhami Ghazoul

Al Morog (D1) landed experienced 37-year old Algerian ex-international 209cm center Touhami Ghazoul (college: North Dakota State of Science) for upcoming season. Ghazoul played most recently at Al Safa in Saudi Arabian Division 1. He helped them to win the Division 1 title.
Ghazoul ended the previous (2021-22) season at Al Karameh (SBL) in Syrian league. He contributed to his team making it to the Syrian League final. But the most of that year he spent at Al Salam (SBL) in Saudi Arabia where in 14 games he averaged impressive 18.2ppg, 14.9rpg (#4 in the league) and 1.9bpg in that year. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention.
Ghazoul also represented Algeria at the Afrobasket Championship in Rades (Tunisia) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 3.3ppg, 2.4rpg.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). Ghazoul has played previously professionally also in Oman (An Nasr) and Algeria (GS Petroliers).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Morog.
He attended North Dakota State of Science until 2007 and it will be his 17th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
