Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) landed 30-year old American 203cm forward Jordan Washington (college: Iona, agency: Interperformances) for new season. Washington played last summer at Team Gibson (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). First he played at Al Ittihad Tri. Washington helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on five different continents. Washington is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Greece (Rethymno), Israel (Maccabi Hod Hasharon), Mexico (Tijuana Zonkeys and Abejas), Qatar (Qatar Club), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli, Ohod and Al Nahda) and Canada (Halifax Hurricanes). Washington won NJCAA D1 Region XI championship title in 2014 and 2015 and the cup in 2016 and 2017.
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Saudi Arabian SBL All-Imports Team back in 2021.
He graduated from Iona College in 2017 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Washington played also for Indian Hills Community College for 2 years.
