Defending champion Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) signed 32-year-old American guard Pierre Jackson, who stands at 180cm and played college basketball at Baylor. Jackson most recently played for Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings in the Chinese CBA league, putting up impressive stats of 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal in just one game this season. Prior to that, he played for Sagesse (LBL) in the Lebanese league, where he averaged 16.8ppg, 5.2rpg, 4.8apg, and 2.6spg in 5 games.
In 2013, he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) in the second round (42nd overall). He graduated from Baylor University and it is his eleventh season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player, having played in ten different countries on four continents thanks to pro basketball. He has played professionally in Croatia, France, Israel, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, Turkey, the NBA, NBA G League, and The Basketball Tournament.
He won the Israeli Premier League championship title in 2018. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Honorable Mention in 2021. He also played for College of Southern Idaho for one year.
