D1 Round 14 (Second Stage): Ahly Benghazi lose their first game against Al Nasr- June 25, 2023
Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Al Nasr - Ahly Benghazi 77-69 The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Ahly Benghazi (13-1) on the court of fourth ranked Al Nasr on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Al Nasr 77-69. It ended at the same time the 23-game winning streak of Ahly Benghazi. Al Nasr (10-4) moved-up to third place. Ahly Benghazi at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Al Ittihad - Ahly Tripoli 48-87 Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tripoli: Ahly Tripoli (#2) and Al Ittihad (#3). Al Ittihad was smashed at home by 39 points 48-87 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Defending champion maintains second position with 12-2 record behind leader Ahly Benghazi. Al Ittihad lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Al Hilal - Al Morog 79-72 We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Benghazi where 5th ranked Al Morog (4-10) was defeated by sixth ranked Al Hilal (4-10) 79-72 on Tuesday. Al Hilal have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Al Morog. Al Madina - Shabab 73-56 Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tripoli: Al Madina (#8) and Shabab (#7). Al Madina (1-13) smashed visiting Shabab (3-11) by 17 points 73-56. Al Madina maintains eighth position with 1-13 record. Loser Shabab keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. |
