Al Nasr Benghazi (D1) agreed terms with 27-year old American power forward Cliff Alexander (203cm-107kg-1995, college: Kansas, agency: MSG). Alexander moved there from Sagesse in Lebanese LBL league where he played this season. In 32 games he had very impressive stats: 21.6ppg, 12.2rpg, 1.3apg and 1.4bpg. He was also named League Player of the Week (10 times).
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Alexander is quite experienced player. Alexander's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Alexander has played previously professionally in Dominican Republic (Metros), France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket and Le Mans), Germany (Brose Bamberg), Korea (KoGas and Suwon KT Sonicboom), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, College Park SkyHawks, Long Island Nets and Wisconsin Herd) and NBA Summer League (LA Clippers).
His team won German Bundesliga Cup in 2019.
He attended University of Kansas until 2015 and it is his eighth season as a professional player.
On Alexander: A low-post scoring presence who can anchor the rebounding effort but won't be much of a threat, at least initially, anywhere except the block.
