Ahly Benghazi welcomes back Mekraz

Zain Mekraz

Al-Alhy-Benghazi (D1) landed 31-year old 188cm point guard Zain Mekraz for new season. It is actually his comeback to Benghazi as he has played here before. Mekraz played most recently at Al Nasr in Libyan D1 league. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Mekraz also played for Al Ittihad that season.
He has played previously professionally also in Qatar (Al Gharafa).
Among many awards he was voted Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Point Guard of the Year in 2021.
