Ahly Benghazi signs Shane Rector, ex Jahraa

Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) signed 27-year old American guard Shane Rector (188cm-82kg-1994, college: Utah State) for upcoming 2022-2023 season. Rector played last season at Jahraa in Kuwaiti D1 league. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Rector also played for Ohod in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 19 games he had very impressive stats: 30.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 3.0apg and 2.4spg. 2021-2022 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com Saudi Arabian SBL All-Imports Team.
He is quite experienced player. Rector has played in four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Qatar (Al Gharafa), Tunisia (US Monastir), United Arab Emirates (Al Wasl, Al Sharjah and Al Bataeh) and TBL (Albany Patroons).
Rector graduated from Utah State in 2017 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
