Al Ittihad Tripoli (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American shooting guard Musa Abdul-Aleem (196cm-100kg-88, college: Troy, agency: BIG) for season 2021-22. It is actually his comeback to Tripoli as he has played here before. Abdul-Aleem played last summer at Broncos in Venezuelan SLB league. In three games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg. The last season he played at Al Ittihad. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Finals MVP and selected to 2nd Team and voted to All-Imports Team.
In 2015 he was drafted by Austin Spurs (D-League) in sixth round (99th overall).
The former Troy University standout is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Abdul-Aleem's pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Abdul-Aleem has played previously professionally in Chile (Universidad de Concepcion), Greece (Kymis), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas), Morocco (AS Sale), Qatar (Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah), Saudi Arabia (Ohod and Al Fateh), Uruguay (Trouville), Dominican Republic (San Carlos), El Salvador (Santa Tecla) and Egypt (Ashab Aljead).
