Al Ittihad Tripoli (D1) added to their roster 33-year old American shooting guard Musa Abdul-Aleem (196cm-100kg-88, college: Troy, agency: BIG) for season 2021-22. It is actually his comeback to Tripoli as he has played here before. He ended the last season at Al Ittihad. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Finals MVP and selected to 2nd Team and voted to All-Imports Team. But the most of that year he spent at Al Rayyan in Qatari D1 where in 6 games he recorded very impressive stats: 28.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.5apg and 2.8spg.
In 2015 he was drafted by Austin Spurs (D-League) in sixth round (99th overall).
Abdul-Aleem attended Troy University and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Abdul-Aleem has played previously professionally in Chile (Universidad de Concepcion), Greece (Kymis), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas), Morocco (AS Sale), Saudi Arabia (Ohod and Al Fateh), Uruguay (Trouville), Venezuela, Dominican Republic (San Carlos), Qatar (Al Wakrah) and El Salvador (Santa Tecla).
He won Saudi Arabian League championship title in 2019.
