Al Ittihad Tripoli (D1) landed 32-year old American shooting guard Musa Abdul-Aleem (196cm-100kg-88, college: Troy, agency: BIG). He started the season at Al Rayyan in Qatari D1 league. In 6 games he averaged impressive 28.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.5apg and 2.8spg. The last season Abdul-Aleem played at Al Wakrah where in 18 D1 games he was league's fourth best scorer with remarkable 23.3ppg and recorded 5.1rpg, 2.8apg and 1.9spg (in top 5). He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week.
In 2015 Abdul-Aleem was drafted by Austin Spurs (D-League) in sixth round (99th overall).
He attended Troy University and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
Abdul-Aleem is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Abdul-Aleem has played previously professionally in Chile (Universidad de Concepcion), Greece (Kymis), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas), Morocco (AS Sale), Saudi Arabia (Ohod and Al Fateh), Uruguay (Trouville), Venezuela, Dominican Republic (San Carlos) and El Salvador (Santa Tecla).
Among many awards Abdul-Aleem won Saudi Arabian League championship title in 2019. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-FIBA Asia Champions Cup GBA Qualifiers Honorable Mention award in 2019.
