Ahly Tripoli sign a second USA player, ex Saskatchewan R.

Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) landed 27-year old American guard Maurice Jones (170-155kg-91, college: Northwood). He joins another USA player Marlon Johnson who is already in the roster.
Jones played in the summer at Saskatchewan Rattlers in Canadian CEBL. In 7 games he averaged 7.6ppg, 4.9rpg, 4.6apg and 1.9spg. He ended the last season at Sudbury in Canadian NBL Canada where in 15 games he had very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 5.3rpg, 4.5apg and 2.2spg. Jones helped them to win the CEBL title. But the most of that year Jones spent at St. John's Edge in NBL Canada. In 20 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 15.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 6.5apg (top 2) and 1.9spg (in top 2).
Among other achievements he received USBasket.com All-NBL Canada Rookie of the Year award in 2017.
Jones has played also professionally in Canada for Windsor Express.
He attended Northwood University until 2016 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball.
Jones' game is described as: A lightning quick point guard that can lead a team and shoot and score from all over the court. He is known for making teammates better and improving any team he plays for. Competes extremely hard on defense and is known for creating steals and starting the fast break, devastating in transition.
