Nasr win Libyan Basketball League - Jan 24, 2017

Nasr have won Libyan Basketball League after the Championship series with three other teams. In day 1 they beat Alahly Benghazi 75-51, while in day 2 Alittihad overcame Nasr 47-46. In day 3 Nasr posted a 55-45 win to triumph in the League. They finished on top with a 2-1 record and had a better difference amongst Alittihad and Alahly Tripoli that ended up with the same 2-1 records. Alahly Benghazi finished the League fourth with a 0-3 record.

GEREL SIMMONS Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) signed 25-year old American guard Gerel Simmons (188-88kg-93, college: Lincoln Memorial). He played last season at Al Ittihad. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Al Nasr Benghazi (D1) signed 26-year old American guard DK Eldridge (191-92, college: New Mexico State). He played last season at KK Dynamic Vip Pay Beograd in Serbian KLS league. In 13 games he had 8.1ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.5spg (in top 3). Eldridge also played 11 games in ABA League where he recorded 7.9ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.6spg. Libya are out of the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup under 18 Nations ...! - 2 months ago
Libya lose the final quarter-finals of the U-18 African Nations Cup held in Mali from August 24th to September 2th, Libyan team lost to the quarter-final against the Senegalese team, which was the group B leader.
