Nasr win Libyan Basketball League season 2017/2018 - Apr 30, 2018


THE Al Nasr Benghazi dynasty continues after being crowned champions for the second successive season in the Libyan Basketball League and the forth title in the club history last Saturday in TRIPOLI ,Al Nasr Benghazi secured their title after thoroughly outplaying bitter rivals Al Ahly Tripoli (68-67) in most excited game in the all season after one extra time ,Al Nasr Benghazi players and officials were presented their glittering league trophy and gold medals by Libyan Basketball Association (LBA) president Mr Foud borqush during the awards presentation after the contest. Also on hand were Libyan Olympic Committee general Manger Mr Jamal alzarouq.
the final close game was so exited for all fans But the experience of the Al Nasr Benghazi players helped the Egyptian coach Tareq Selim to control the game , The best player on the game was the american star for Al Nasr Benghazi team DaQuan Brooks (177-PG-90, college: W.Connecticut) who scored 27 points , 6 assist , 7 rebound and 2 steals .
however the Libyan Basketball League this season 2017/2018 was a very strong season and there were a large number of Excellent young players in all teams Especially in Al Alhy Benghazi and Al Ahly Tripoli .



Al-Ahli Tripoli wins Libya Cup - May 16, 2018


Al-Ahli Tripoli basketball team was crowned on Friday, for the third time in its history, champion of Libya Cup after winning the final against Al-Nasr. Al-Ahli finished the first and second quarters with 42 points to 29 for Al-Nasr, holding the lead to the end of the game with a final score of 88-74. Al-Nasr basketball team had won the Libyan Basketball Premier league two weeks ago.
