Defending champion U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) tabbed 26-year old American (has also Liberian passport) guard Lasan Kromah (198-92kg-91, college: Connecticut). He played most recently at Egis Kormend in Hungarian A Division. Kromah managed to play in four leagues in four countries last year (!!!). In 24 A Division games he was third best scorer with impressive 19.7ppg and recorded 4.4rpg, 3.7apg and 1.8spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com Hungarian League All-Imports Team and 2nd Team. Kromah also played that season for United in Australian NBL. But in three games he averaged just 1.0ppg. The other team Kromah played shortly was Promitheas in Greek A1 where in two games he had 3.0ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.5spg. Another team Kromah played briefly was another team Knicks in U.S. NBA-G-League. In two games he got 8.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg.
Last year (two years after he left the college) Kromah was drafted by Westchester Knicks (D-League) in third round (60th overall).
He attended University of Connecticut until 2014 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball.
Kromah won NCAA championship title in 2014.
And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. Kromah has played previously professionally in Turkey (Konyaspor) and Greece (Kavala).
Let's have closer look into His outlook: He can rebound, defend, pass. He's really capable of taking over games offensively. He gets a lot of recognition for his outside shooting, but he just finds ways to score. He has a real passion for basketball and just loves to play.
