Kenya Ports Authority welcomes back Wanyama, ex Siauliai

Kenya Ports Authority (Premier League) signed 33-year-old Kenyan international 185cm center Mercy Wanyama. She is making a comeback to KPA, having played there before. Last season, she was the best rebounder at Siauliu Siauliai in the Lithuanian Moteru Lyga, averaging 12.7ppg, 7.6rpg, and 1.4spg in 7 games. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian League Honorable Mention and All-Imports Team. Wanyama also played 6 games in the WBBL, where she averaged 11.8ppg, 8.2rpg, and 1.7spg. In the previous (2023-24) season, she played for another Lithuanian team, Siauliu Siauliai, in the Lithuanian league. Wanyama has been a regular member of the Kenyan Senior National Team since 2017.
She is a very experienced player, having played in Lithuania, Spain (Aviles and Cortegada), Kenya (Storms and Equity Bank), and Rwanda (REG BBC Kigali).
She played in the final of FIBA WBLA Zone 5 Qualifiers in 2024.
