Makur Maker (ex Al Ittihad) joins Al Ahly Tripoli

Makur Maker

Defending champion Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) agreed terms with 24-year old Kenyan-Australian power forward Makur Maker (212cm-95kg-2000, college: Howard). He was the best rebounder at Al Ittihad in the Saudi Arabian SBL league last season, where in 16 games he had 14.0ppg, 9.5rpg, and 1.2apg. He helped them win the league title and was named to the Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Third Team. Maker also played 9 games in the West Asia Super League, where he recorded impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 12.0rpg, and 1.0spg, contributing to his team making it to the group final.
Maker is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Australia (Kings), NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga and Capital City Go-Go), and NBA Summer League (Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers).
Maker graduated from Howard University in 2021, and it'll be his fifth season as a pro player.
