After a strong performance in their opening playoffs game, Zetech Sparks is setting its sights on sealing the series in Game Two of the quarter-final playoffs of the Kenya National Basketball Women’s Premier League against Eldonets. Confidence is high in the camp, but the players and technical bench know that the next challenge will be anything but easy. Head Coach Maurice Obilo expressed both readiness and determination ahead of the upcoming clash after registering a convincing away victory of 83-44 in Game One in Eldoret last weekend. “Eldonets will definitely be a challenge, but we’re ready for them. The second game is going to be tough, but our focus is to finish the series right there. We want to get it done on Saturday, and we believe we have what it takes to make it happen,” Obilo said. With momentum, the team is eager to wrap things up quickly and shift attention to the next stage of the competition. The soft-spoken tactician has made it clear that the team’s sole focus is on their next matchup against Eldonets, a side he described as “a good team” that fully deserves their place in the postseason. “We’re not leaving any stone unturned because we know Eldonets is a strong team, and they’ve earned their place in the playoffs. We respect them, and we’re going to come out playing with everything we’ve got to make sure we seal the deal before even thinking about the semifinals,” Obilo added. With the series delicately poised, Zetech is aiming to close out the contest early, keeping their energy and momentum intact for the challenges ahead. The team’s preparations have been intense, and the coaching staff is confident that a disciplined, high-intensity performance will carry them through.
